Jing asks about learning vocabulary for the GRE. She is going to be taking the test soon and wants to know how to find and memorize the right vocabulary. I give my suggestions in the episode.

I’m studying for the GRE as well. Are there any resources on the web to go into further detail about using stressed syllable mnemonics for vocabulary? I also want to know how I can use this method along with spaced repetition learning, and how many words I can memorize per day.
Hey Chris! I talk a bit about stressed-syllable mnemonic vocabulary learning on this page:
http://masterofmemory.com/vocabulary/
For volume, it depends on how fast you can learn these words and how much time you have per day, but here are two resources:
Retention schedules (spaced repetition): http://masterofmemory.com/retention/
Applying to vocabulary: http://masterofmemory.com/mmem-0015-how-do-i-memorize-a-large-amount-of-vocabulary-really-quickly/
So now do we have to write GRE or
only GRE subject test (Math) or both if we want to join a grad college or they
are all just moot now ?
